Then continuing with the build……
After many hours we have finished re-fitting and aligning all the panels that make up the super lightweight shell.
When originally built to race, virtually all the inner and outer framework, reinforcings and items of trim were removed. The windscreen frame angled back, side panels and door frames lowered by 100mm to produce the roof chop. All the panels are just riveted and bonded together. The full front assembly is a one-piece fiberglass lift off panel and the rear door a sheet of aluminium.
Now it’s time to remove all the panels again!!! For prep and paint, then the final body re-assembly.

The Big dent you can see in the rear crossmember has been left intentionally as have a number of other racing scars these are documented in the history.
The last picture was 2 years ago as we striped her down.

It’s been a long road so far, as pretty much everything from the chassis up has had to be taken back to bare metal….more soon.
